Drapery hooks, what are they? DrapeStyle uses a lot of these little things and you probably don’t even know that they’re there. But they can make all of the difference when creating custom draperies.
DrapeStyle uses heavy duty, silver metal drapery hooks on our custom draperies. Why? to hold up the heaviest of draperies and to ensure that the pleats look as good as they did when they were created. One of the final steps in creating your custom drapes, drapery hooks are installed by hand on each drape on the header, on flat panel and pleated drapes.
The drapery hooks then slide into the eyelet on your drapery ring. We highly recommend purchasing drapery rings as appose to clips on rings. Clip on rings can have a tendency to snag to tear the fabric. And if the drape is heavy, the drape can slide out of the clip.
It takes a bit more time and money to install metal drapery hooks but that’s one of the many differences between DrapeStyle and other retailers. At DrapeStyle, we take the time to hand make every pillow, drape and Roman shade as if it was going into our own home. With a team of seamstresses that each have an average of 25 years experience, you know you will receive window treatments made with the highest quality materials and standards. And as always, everything is made right here in America.
