Buying your Dream Drapes at Half Price – The Perfect Formula!

Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Since we began DrapeStyle nearly 10 years ago, our mission has never wavered. When you are looking to purchase your perfect set of custom made dream drapes you can get them here at half price of what you would expect to pay from a typical Designer. It is important, however, to point out that not all half price drapes are created equal. Many online “discounters” who claim to be selling a quality curtain at half price are typically selling “cheap” poorly made curtains which are imported. These typical “ready-made” curtains are made using low quality lining, material and construction.

When your looking for your dream drape it pays to dig a little deeper and understand the construction and quality of materials that are going into your drapery. Consider the weight of the silk or linen used, the quality and weight of the lining and interlining. Finally, consider if your next set of drapery are made. While some may consider buying American Made Drapery Noble, others find it Practical. Should Mrs. Smith ever need her window treatments hemmed or repaired in the future She may find that buying from a US Manufacturer is more than just noble.

DrapeStyle Partners with Billabong on “Casa Surf” Hotel Remodel

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

DrapeStyle has partnered with surfwear giants Billabong and Etnies on the remodel of the historic Casa Del Camino Hotel in Laguna Beach, CA. An original “boutique” hotel, Casa Del Camino was dubbed “Casa Surf” by many of the legendary Hollywood guests from the 1920′s, 30′s and 40′s. Built in 1927, Casa Surf is a classic landmark and part of California architecture and history.

Later this year Casa Surf will undergo an extensive renovation and has it’s Design Team will be creating a surf theme with influences from several Southern California surfwear companies. DrapeStyle was selected to provide the custom drapery for the project which, although we cant let the cat out of the bag just yet, are “awesome”!

We promise to bring you photos as soon as the project completes in the early spring of 2010.

DrapeStyle Completes Astoria

DrapeStyle recently completed the Astoria Project in Irvine, CA. This “Urban Chic” hire-rise residential tower is located in the heart of the new Central Park West Community of Irvine. DrapeStyle was fortunate to work with leading OC Designer and Interior Design Institute Instructor Richard Thompson on this Project. Richard designed these gorgeous metallic sheer drapes with a silk border and large grommets. They really rounded out the rooms in this Irvine Company Project.

We like the drapes so much we just may add them to our catalog!
